About
Dr. Ken Okada, PT, DPT
Doctor of Physical Therapy, Founder
Hi there! Iām Dr. Ken. I specialize in orthopedic and athletic care for active individuals who want to resume the activities they love.
I received my doctorate in physical therapy from Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, Ca, and my bachelors degree from Fresno State. I have extensive training and experience in movement science and manual therapy.
The foundation of my knowledge stems from my decade-long experience with strength & conditioning as well as my time swimming, playing football, and rugby. As an avid lifter of weights, I understand the needs of strength athletes, their unique biomechanics, and the demands they place on their body.
Step 1: Diagnose and solve.
Step 2: Treat and resolve.
Step 3: Teach and evolve.
Care that is tailored to your needs.
I am the clinician people have come to when other approaches have failed.
A thorough examination is essential in finding the actual root of your problem. Many care plans fail to find the true cause of pain or movement dysfunction.
Once we find the root cause of your problem, I utilize a combination of advanced manual therapy, exercise, and movement therapy to optimize movement and get people back to the activities they love.
Strength is the foundation.
You may wonder why I am so passionate about strength training and weight lifting.
Time and time again, the evidence shows that the greatest predictor of longevity and mortality is strength. We can stave off frailty, metabolic disease, and countless musculoskeletal problems simply by lifting weights and improving our strength.
Almost all of my patients and clients will perform some form of strength training to good effect. I have helped dozens of individuals decrease their fall risk and improve their mobility through a safe and intelligent approach to strength.
Strength is the foundation of all movement and fitness.
